Custom web applications for Adelaide businesses that need customer portals, staff systems, dashboards, bookings, workflow automation, databases or integrations.

Map the system
SOFTWARE AROUND THE BUSINESS

Turn repetitive work into a connected system.

Not every digital problem needs an off-the-shelf SaaS subscription. A custom web application can match the way your team already works while connecting customer data, forms, jobs, reporting, payments and operational workflows in one place.

Because the interface and database are designed together, the public website can connect directly with the staff system behind it without forcing the business into somebody else's workflow.

A CLOSER LOOK

The details behind the design.

Web applications built around your workflow

A custom web application brings the information and actions a team needs into a shared interface. That might mean a staff portal, customer dashboard, booking workflow or project reporting tool. PLG starts by understanding who uses the system, what they need to accomplish and where the current process creates repeated work or uncertainty.

We map the journey from entering information to reviewing it, updating its status and producing a useful outcome. A field team may need a simple mobile form, while an administrator needs a wider view of records and outstanding actions. Those are different tasks, and the interface should give each user the right level of detail.

Data structure, access and validation

The structure behind the application matters as much as the screens. Records need clear relationships, consistent fields and rules for what can be submitted. Access should be based on the responsibilities of the people using the system, with appropriate checks performed on the server rather than relying only on what the interface displays.

Our Wappler approach uses App Connect for the interface, Server Connect for workflows and a Security Provider for authentication where required. Database operations and form validation are designed as part of the project. Hosting, backups, data retention and any additional security requirements need to be considered in the agreed implementation scope.

Start with a useful first release

A good first release solves a defined problem well. Instead of adding every possible feature at once, we establish the essential workflow and the information needed to support it. That makes it easier to review the application against real tasks and identify what should be improved or added next.

The ADLOC project illustrates this approach through connected field records, service information and reporting. Other businesses may need a very different system, but the same principle applies: design around the people doing the work and make the information easier to capture, understand and act on.
